Who Can Benefit?

Enbridge Gas began offering its expanded Home Efficiency Rebate Plus program in January 2023. Grants of up to $10,000 are available until 2027 to help homeowners save energy and money. Becoming part of the Greener Homes Grant and the Home Efficiency Rebate Plus program will help you protect the environment and save you money on your energy bills with upgrades like these:

  • Air sealing: Up to $1,300
  • Space and water heating: Up to $7,800
  • Solar panels: Up to $5,000
  • Home insulation: Up to $10,000
  • Windows and doors: Up to $325 for each
  • Smart thermostats: Up to $125
  • Weatherproofing: Up to $1,650

Start With a Home Evaluation

The application process begins with an EnerGuide evaluation conducted by a registered energy advisor, who will assess your household’s typical energy use and identify potential upgrades that can increase your energy efficiency and make your home part of the movement to halt climate change.

The advisor will provide a report suggesting approved changes, which you can then use as a roadmap to update your home. Only retrofits recommended by the energy advisor are eligible for rebates, and you have until 2027 to finish the work.

After you complete your environmentally friendly updates, you will need to schedule a follow-up EnerGuide evaluation to show the updated energy rating and savings. The Home Energy Rebate Plus program will reimburse you up to $600 for these inspections.
